About Me

Welcome to Enchanted Kids Moment, a practical and creative space for parents, caregivers, and families looking for meaningful things to do, make, organize, and celebrate with children.

I’m Ogochukwu Ihuoma, the creator behind Enchanted Kids Moment.

My love for working with children started long before I created this website. I have been involved in the children’s department at church since I was 15 years old, and that experience has given me many years of learning, serving, teaching, creating activities, and spending time with children of different ages.

Over the years, I have seen that children don’t need elaborate experiences to have a good time. Sometimes, a simple craft, a thoughtfully planned activity, a fun family tradition, or a small celebration can become one of their favourite memories.

That belief is at the heart of Enchanted Kids Moment.

What Is Enchanted Kids Moment?

Enchanted Kids Moment was created to help make life with children a little more creative, organized, meaningful, and fun.

EKM brings together practical ideas for the everyday moments that matter to families. That includes finding something to do when children are bored, planning a birthday party, creating a craft together, organizing a child’s room, celebrating milestones, or making a holiday feel special.

I want this website to be a place where you can come with a real need and find an idea you can actually use.

You don’t need a huge budget, a professionally decorated home, or a room full of craft supplies to create meaningful moments with children.

Sometimes, you simply need the right idea and a little guidance on how to make it work

What You’ll Find at Enchanted Kids Moment

Kids Crafts

You’ll find simple and creative kids craft ideas for different ages and occasions.

I share paper crafts, painting projects, recycled crafts, seasonal crafts, keepsakes, and other creative activities that children can make with an adult’s guidance when needed.

The goal isn’t perfection.

Children should have room to experiment, make choices, and create something that feels like their own.

Kids Activities

EKM also focuses on things children can do at home, during family time, on weekends, during school breaks, and when they need a break from screens.

You’ll find ideas for indoor activities, sensory play, learning through play, creative activities, quiet activities, and boredom busters.

I also aim to make activities realistic for parents.

Not every activity needs hours of preparation or a long shopping list. Many ideas can be adapted using things you already have at home.

Kids’ Birthday Parties and Celebrations

Planning a child’s celebration can be exciting, but it can also become overwhelming quickly.

That’s why EKM provides kids’ party ideas, birthday themes, decorations, games, activities, backdrops, and practical planning inspiration.

You’ll find ideas for celebrations at home, themed parties, seasonal parties, birthday decorations, and activities that help give children something fun to do during a celebration.

The goal is to help you create a celebration that feels special without making the planning process unnecessarily complicated.

Kids’ Rooms and Nursery Ideas

A child’s room needs to be more than beautiful.

It needs to work for the child who sleeps, plays, reads, creates, and keeps their belongings there.

At EKM, you’ll find kids’ room ideas, nursery inspiration, storage solutions, organization ideas, reading corners, toy storage, and decorating inspiration.

I focus on ideas that can help families make children’s spaces more comfortable, functional, and enjoyable.

Family and Childhood Milestones

Childhood is filled with moments worth remembering.

Some are big, like a first birthday, first day of school, graduation, or another major milestone.

Others are much smaller.

EKM shares family traditions, milestone ideas, memory-making activities, keepsake inspiration, birthday traditions, and simple ways to document special moments.

You don’t have to spend a lot of money to make a childhood moment meaningful.

Sometimes the tradition itself becomes the memory.

Seasonal and Holiday Ideas

Children often look forward to the traditions and activities that come around each year.

That’s why EKM also shares seasonal crafts, holiday activities, decorations, family traditions, party ideas, and other ways to enjoy special times of the year with children.

These ideas are designed to help families participate together rather than simply decorate around the children.

My Experience With Children

Working in the church children’s department since I was 15 has been an important part of my journey.

It has allowed me to spend years around children, participate in children’s activities, help create engaging experiences, and learn that children of different ages can have very different needs.

A craft that works beautifully for an older child may need to be simplified for a preschooler.

An activity that sounds exciting may not work well for a child with a short attention span.

And something that looks beautiful in a photograph still needs to be practical when a real family tries it at home.

That experience influences how I approach the ideas I share on EKM.

I want activities to be understandable.

I want crafts to be adaptable.

I want party ideas to be realistic.

And I want children’s spaces to work for actual families rather than only look good in photographs.

What I Believe About Childhood

I believe children need opportunities to create, explore, play, participate, and make memories.

I also believe parents shouldn’t feel pressured to make every childhood moment elaborate.

A homemade card can matter.

A simple Saturday craft can matter.

A family game night can matter.

A child helping decorate for a birthday can matter.

A small tradition repeated every year can become something they remember for decades.

The goal isn’t to create a perfect childhood.

It’s to create opportunities for meaningful moments within ordinary family life.

What You Can Expect From EKM

When you read an Enchanted Kids Moment article, I want you to find more than a long list of ideas.

I want the content to help you understand how to actually use the idea.

That means you’ll find practical information about supplies, preparation, age considerations, organization, safety, adaptations, and ways to make an activity work in your own home when relevant.

For craft tutorials, I aim to explain the process clearly rather than simply showing you the finished project.

For activity guides, I focus on what children can actually do and how parents can set the activity up.

For party content, I focus on practical ways to plan, decorate, and entertain children.

For kids’ room content, I look beyond decoration and consider organization, storage, functionality, and everyday use.

And for family and milestone content, I focus on simple ways to make childhood moments meaningful.

A Note About the Ideas We Share

Every family is different.

Children have different ages, personalities, interests, abilities, and attention spans. A project may work perfectly for one child and need to be adapted for another.

So I encourage you to use the ideas on EKM as starting points.

Change the colours.

Simplify the steps.

Use materials you already have.

Let your child make creative choices.

Skip a step that isn’t appropriate for their age.

The finished project doesn’t need to look exactly like the example.

The experience of making it together matters too.

Why the Name “Enchanted Kids Moment”?

The name comes from the kind of moments I want this website to encourage.

An enchanted moment doesn’t have to be extravagant.

It can be a child proudly holding up a craft they made.

It can be siblings laughing during a family game.

It can be a birthday morning tradition.

It can be decorating a child’s room together.

It can be sitting at the table making something with materials you already have at home.

Those ordinary moments can become meaningful parts of childhood.

That’s what Enchanted Kids Moment is about.
